New National Architecture Policy Competition

Djernes & Bell have been awarded 3rd place for their proposals for densifying the suburbs in their proposal ‘Grafted Permaculture Suburbs’ or ‘Podet Permakultur Parcelhuskvarter’. The competition is part of a New National Architeture policy under the Danish Ministry of Culture. 

This project is based on a previous design for a new roof extention in northern copenhagen, which aimed to extend an existing ‘typehus’ without new groundworks nor demolition waste. It is also based on the project ‘Residential Regenesis’ done in collaboration with Henning Larsen Arhitects for Realdania’s 4til1 bolig.
