Workshop
Reyneke Biodynamic Winefarm, post- carbon community workshop

Djernes & Bell led a series of workshops at Reyneke Winefarm, laying the groundwork for an agro-regional renovation of the estate. Held in the Reyneke Tasting Room & the farm, the sessions brought together architects, winemakers, biodynamic farmers, sustainability experts, and local stakeholders to explore regenerative strategies for the site.

Discussions covered bioregional design, sustainable building materials, and holistic systems for water, waste, and energy. A key focus was integrating passive climate strategies, ecological site management, and material reuse to align with Reyneke’s biodynamic philosophy. Field walks and mapping exercises further connected architectural interventions to the landscape’s agricultural and ecological context.

These workshops mark an important step in shaping Reyneke’s future, where architecture and land stewardship work in synergy to create a resilient, sustainable winemaking environment.
