Justine Bell gave a lecture to Elke Krasny’s PHD students at The Academy of Fine Arts, Vienna. The Lecture was ‘Making Good: Reparative Ecologies’ investigated the potential of architecture with focus in on repair & maintenance (or constant care) as the primary material, tectonic and ritual characteristice. Allowing a more ecological view of building, and living within the built environment, this view will enable us to turn to local and bio-based materials and relearn how we effect the material, and how we can be involved in its care, recrafting and regeneration.
